On Good Friday, we look upon the one whom we have pierced. As we look, we see both a reason to mourn, but also a reason to rejoice.

Jesus treasures His own. Therefore, to receive them is to receive Him. However, to mistreat any one of them will bring terrifying consequences.

Who is the greatest disciple?’ Jesus reminds us that there is no disciple who is not completely dependent upon divine grace. Therefore, there is no disciple who can claim any ‘greatness’ for himself.
